Interior concept developed to evoke a warm, modern Japanese dining experience through cohesive spatial planning, material selection, and custom detailing. Features included linear bar seating along the window, illuminated banquette, custom display fixtures with zig-zag support poles inspired by the natural upright form of bamboo stalks, and a display window designed to draw attention from the adjacent walkway. A custom noren curtain marked the entrance, offering a soft visual transition into the space. Hand-painted parasols, repurposed fish trap light fixtures, low-maintenance indoor plants, and other thoughtful details were incorporated with subtlety and care, introducing cultural references and visual interest throughout the space. The layout prioritized workflow between the kitchen, dining, and retail zones while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
